Expressionism

Inspired of course by French Expressionism of the 18th Century, the artists tries to present the world from a subjective perspective and distorting it radically in order to evoke moods or emotional ideas. Within the Cuban Expressionism movement, this has taken many forms which can be seen as provocative just like Adrian Soccoro's work, very raw in emotion. 

Other forms of Expressionism can be seen by the new age colorful paintings of Rachel Perez Troncoso that uses the vibrant and vivid pigments to create images that put emotions first pushing the body and soul to its upper limits.
