How Does Art Make You Feel?

Art has the power to stir up feelings and memories within us. That happened to me with the “Dos Aguas” painting by Denis Delgado Alemán. There comes a time when you forget it's just a painting and feel like you're in the middle of all that natural beauty. I can feel the intense sun that characterizes Cuba on my skin and the wind moving my hair.

Palms are an element of great importance in the Cuban landscape, a symbol of the unquestionable natural beauty of Cuba. With their height reaching up towards the blue sky and their glossy green leaves, they add an exotic and tropical touch to any view. The desire to want to be there even for a few minutes to be able to observe them and touch the crystal clear water does not leave my mind.

I once heard that we live life only through our eyes, that's why no one thinks the same, and the truth cannot be absolute. For me, in the same way, a landscape will never be appreciated by different people. Many times we are so immersed in our worries that we forget to look around us, missing out on the opportunity to live experiences like being able to enjoy places like this.

Perhaps it is that when we are far from our country, we begin to miss things that we never thought we would miss, like when we face a winter and miss the warmth of our land. Nostalgia for those landscapes keeps Cuban roots alive in the hearts of those of us who live far away.
