In Mexico City, 12th of October artworks from 40 different artists were donated to a charity auction whose funds will help citizens affected by hurricane Ian. The artists participating include names like Arístides Hernández, Kacho, Lesbia Vent Dumois, and two of our own artists Zaida del Rio and Mario Gonzales. The auction resulted in over $45,000 raised, which will be used to help and support those affected by the devastating hurricane Ian.

While O&C as an organization has participated in numerous Charity auctions with our partner CANFAR, it is not often that we see charity auctions hosted by the Cuban Fund of Cultural Assets. Last time we saw charity auctions with so many contemporary Cuban artists was back in the early 2000s with the Auctions of Habana and Casa de las Americas (House of Americas). We are proud to be able to support these artists and see their artwork being shown along with so much other great talent.
We look forward to more expositions and charity events in the future and stay tuned to see our future events for the rest of 2022!
